CENTEX Hydraulics has purchased a state-of-the-art TUXCO Cylinder Breakdown Bench to provide us with the capability to professionally service almost any cylinder type up to 16 inches in diameter and 12 feet in retracted length.  Once a cylinder is installed in the breakdown bench, the cylinder breakdown process is largely hands-off with the machine providing the brute force (up to 30,000 ft-lbs) to open the cylinder, remove the piston and piston rod, and expose the cylinder bore for service.  Seal replacement, honing, bearing replacement, and any other needed repair can be carried out in a standard procedure in the machine.  By maintaining centerline alignment between the cylinder bore and the piston/piston rod assemblies, there is no danger of damage to the bore, the piston, or the seals.  The TUXCO equipment allows repair time to be reduced to a minimum, thus saving valuable customer equipment down-time.

Using the experience gained from designing fluid pressure and power systems for NASA, we provide new systems design or existing systems upgrade to meet our customer requirements. For example, we have provided new systems installation support for the installation of a knuckle boom crane on a large diesel truck.  We have also provided systems upgrade support for a hydraulically powered vacuum truck service.

CENTEX uses only the best flexible hoses and fittings to meet the needs of our customers.  We provide Parker Corporation "Tough Cover" hoses and fittings due to their strength and durability.  Utilizing the state-of-the-art Parker crimping equipment, our fabricated hoses will withstand the harshest work environments and provide years of service life.  We provide JIC, NPT, ORFS, and Code 61 end fittings for our hoses.  Special fittings can be obtained upon request.

Our experienced personnel can fabricate hard line tubing with either JIC or Ferrule type end fittings to match the customer’s needs. Custom end fittings can be ordered by request.   By manufacturing tubing in-house, the savings in cost to the customer over purchasing original equipment manufacturer’s parts can be substantial.

All pressure vessels and components used in commercial operations are required to be hydrostatically re-certified to withstand 1 ½ time the normal operating pressure on a typical time cycle of every 5 years.  CENTEX Hydraulics has acquired the equipment necessary to provide the needed re-certification testing at pressures up to 50,000 psi. 

CENTEX Hydraulics provides sales of individual components such as fittings, valves, gauges, pumps, regulators, and other fluid system components.  We use Parker Corporation as our parts vendor to ensure that only the highest quality components are made available to our customer.  We realize that time is money and that there is nothing more frustrating than to install a new component only to have it pre-maturely fail.  That is why we insist that only the best parts be provided to our customers.   

CENTEX Hydraulics utilizes standard procedures in carrying out all of the services that we provide.  In addition, every equipment brought to us for service will be tested for both pressure and operational integrity before being returned to the customer.
